Giving

Our heart for giving at Calvary Chapel Frederick is built upon what Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:7. “So let each give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity for God loves a cheerful giver“

If you have visited us you may have noticed that we do not receive an offering as part of our worship service. Although we recognize there are benefits of corporate giving as part of our worship, along with 2 Corinthians 9:7, the Lord has also used Matthew 6:3–4 to guide us in this regard:  (NKJV) — “3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly”.

Our church uses a giving service through Subsplash which charges a fee for transactions. When you give, there is an option that allows you to incur these fees.  If you use a credit or debit card to donate, there is a fee of 2.3% + $0.30. If you donate using a checking account the fee is 1.0% + $0.30. To avoid all fees, please consider using your bank’s online bill pay system to mail a check to our address or give an offering at church in one of the offering boxes located in the sanctuary.
